A wonderfully wonderful kick ass schlide/single jiggy jig jig that I learned from my pipe teach, Patrick Hutchinson.
I do believe he said he learned it off an old recording [the wax cylinder ones] and that it's the ending tune to a longer, descriptive piece... Possibly Battle of Aughrim? Anywho, absolutely LOVE this tune.
Cheers,
Armand

A slide? It sounds like a normal pipe jig to me.

Ahhh. Yes, I can see/hear it now. I don't know what made me put it in 12/8, but it does indeed make more sense in 6/8. ::changes::

3 parts?
Is this supposed to be three parts, with the last two measures of 12/8 repeated?
Also, as a variation, f naturals sound nice.
Happy New Year!

Yes... I also wrote out the 2nd part without repeats 'cause I thought it was pointless to do a 1st and second ending.

Church st
Not called Church st but indeed part of a descriptive piece: Gol na mBan. The recording by Mici 'Cumba' playing it. Pat Mitchell recorded it during the seventies on his lp.
The tune is that of the jig danced at the grave by the lamenting women
