This is my first shot at posting a tune here. Did a thorough search of the site and did not come up with any tune that matched this one (different from the Paddy Cronin's Jig already listed), so hopefully I'm not missing something. I also downloaded an ABC program and the notation checked out, so I've got my fingers crossed that my attempt to push myself and learn this notation has proved successful.
Anywho, I got this tune from a workshop at the Catskills Irish festival with June McCormack in the summer of 2004. There's a second Paddy Cronin's that she taught us that I will post shortly as well.
For purposes of keeping the notation simple, I've excluded the cuts and ornamentation that she included. I also exlcuded a variation that happens in the B part. It's in the second measure and goes as such:
|abc bge| (as opposed to |aga bge|)
Utilizes the high C natural, a note that I know I don't personally use that much.
Ok, that's all the info I have on this tune.

Update
I just purchased the book released by June McCormack entitled "Fliuit" (accent over the u). In it she includes the tune that she had originally taught us as "Paddy Cronin's". However, she has the tune listed as "Billy McCormack's Jig" so I have updated the name here. I have also seen this tune called that on a few recordings I have purchased recently, so that is obviously the accepted name for it. June does note though in her book that "This jig was popularised by the playing of Kerry Fiddle player, Paddy Cronin."
In regards to the tune itself, the only major difference between her notation in her book and what I've included here is that she rolls the G in the 3rd measure instead of playing GzG. She also makes a few other indications of cuts, bounces, and rolls, but again, I'll just keep the version here simple.

Also on Sligo flute player and singer Colm O'Donnell's solo recording "Farewell to Evening Dances." The last of Paddy Cronin's jigs.
