Traditional Irish Music - Learning Resources (Tune Collections)
A collection of some 170, and growing, traditional Irish Tunes. So what's the difference: See and hear the sheet music at the same time using the Myriad Music Browser plug-in; adjust the tempo, add in a metronome, print it out.
Plus links to free recordings of each tune on the web such as Comhaltas, YouTube, BBC Virtual Session etc. 100 recordings of 100 tunes on flute or whistle from the East Antrim Traditional Music School Tune Book. Sheet music is enhanced with alphabetic notation (D E F# G etc) for those who don' t read sheet music.

Weston Whistles (Musical Instruments)
This is the website of Weston Whistles, for hand made instruments in wood and metal.
Made to order, these whistles have achieved some acclaim in reviews by Tony Hinnigan and Phil Hardy (Chieftain), as well as Brian FInnegan who has one.
The wood used is normally British hedgerow timbers such as hawthorn and blackthorn, cherry, yew and apple but occasionally antique exotics such as rosewood and lignum vitae are used.
Special commissions for irregular keys can be accommodated as well as various configurations of fipple and materials.
Recent introductions include the Tabor whistle and the 7-hole SopD, extending the range of the standard instrument down to C.

Software Swing Metronome With Jig Rhythms (ABC Software)
This metronome can play rhythms with swing including jig rhythm timings. Also has lilt bars as in traditional music, gradual tempo changes, and other features of interest to traditional music players. The drum stick and conductor visuals help you hit the beat exactly and stay in time. No abc at present but have plans to add ability to play the tunes as well in the future.

Metronome Online (Musical Instruments)
Not too sure what category I should have put this in. I think we need a software/program category and an accessories category.
This is a neat but basic metronome that runs on the computer while you practice. You don't need to download, it just runs from the site.

Abc Navigator (ABC Software)
Freeware program with great features and doesn't appear to have any problems associated with Windows XP OS.
On my sound card the playback of tunes is the best I have come across so far - button accordion sound.
